Multi Activity Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 | Cusco | Walking tour to acclimatise
Morning flight from Lima to Cusco, relax in you first class hotel. Acclimatise to the altitude (3,326m) with a gentle walking tour this afternoon.

Day 2 | Cusco | Explore Cusco
Complete your acclimatisation. Explore Cusco with your guide today, walk to the fortress of Sacsayhuaman for panoramic views. (b)

Day 3 | Inca Trail | Walk in Sacred Valley
Start walking the Inca Trail. Porters carry all equipment and set up camp for you. Walk 5km, 2hrs, up 50m. (b,l,d)

Day 4 | Inca Trail | Walk, culture and flora
Walk at a relaxed pace still at relatively low altitude (3,000m). Learn about the Inca Empire from your expert guide. Walk 10km, 6.5hrs, up 850m. (b,l,d)

Day 5 | Inca Trail | High trail
A hard day’s walking to the highest point on the trail (4,215m). Walk 12km, 7.5hrs, up 650m, down 850m. (b,l,d)
 
Day 6 | Inca Trail | Arrive at Machu Picchu
The final day of the trail to Machu Picchu. Arrive in the quiet of the late afternoon. Sleep in a comfortable hotel tonight. (b,l)

Day 7 | Machu Picchu | Explore Machu Picchu
Refreshed, catch the first bus up in the morning for a guided tour of Machu Picchu. Return to Cusco by train after lunch. (b)

Day 8 | Cusco | Relax
Day to relax in Cusco. (b)

Day 9 | Andes | Cycle to the edge of the Andes
Drive high into the Andes, visit remote villages along the way. Ride the last stretch and get used to your bike. Camp at Tres Cruces where the Andes into the Amazon basin. (b,l,d)

Day 10 | Amazon | Cycle down to Cloudforest 
Wake for sunrise over the Amazon basin. Ride downhill into the cloudforest today, travel in the support vehicle at any time. Ride 42km, 4hrs, 62,400m. Relax in your lodge. (b,l,d)

Day 11 | Amazon | Raft into the Amazon
Walk into the surrounding cloudforest to view birdlife. Raft down river this afternoon on grade II or III waters to your Amazon lodge in the jungle lowlands. (b,l,d)
 
Day 12 | Manu | Madre de Dios river boat
Long travel day further down river to the best lodge in the Manu area, one of the foremost wildlife destinations in the world. Relax in your comfortable lodge. (b,l,d)

Day 13 | Manu | Wildlife watching
Watch hundreds of parrots and macaws as they eat the clay of the riverbank this morning. Explore on foot this afternoon with your expert naturalist guide. Spot tapir tonight. (b,l,d)

Day 14 | Manu/Cusco | Return to Cusco
Fly back to Cusco. Relax and enjoy the bright lights of Cusco. (b)

Day 15 | Cusco | Explore and relax  
Full day to explore and relax in colonial Cusco. (b)

Day 16 | Travel | Depart for home
Morning flight to Lima, connect with your onward flight home. (b)
