Here’s a video I took at the Arenal Nayara Hotel in Costa Rica which is a magnificent spot overlooking the Arenal Volcano in the central north of Costa Rica.

Hopefully the video is self explanatory but this is a gorgeous spot for a romantic getaway. We also send families here and they love it too so that shows you how much I know.

All that I can say is that this is a place is gorgeous if you want a little treat in the middle of your holiday to Costa Rica. Picture sitting in the hot tub, listening to the rumbling volcano, sipping a cool drink.

View from your private hot tub at the Hotel Arenal Nayara

The Arenal Nayara Hotel is a splendid treat in the middle of a Costa Rica holiday.

Beautiful tropical gardens conceal a sprawling swimming pool, a large open-sided restaurant (serving arguably the best breakfast in Costa Rica) and even a little wine bar. However, it’s the rooms which steal the show. Well, the rooms and their view.

All of the rooms look out onto the Arenal Volcano. Directly. All of the rooms have private terraces made of the beautiful dark wood you see here. When I say private, they are all genuinely private feeling. Well planned gardens mean that basically there is nobody overlooking you .

All the better for the double jacuzzis they have out there.

Really, what could be nicer than snuggling up in a bath looking out over the erupting cone of Arenal?
