In Spain we use a couple of resorts but our favourite hidden gem is Cerler where we have self drive, ski coaching and family ski holidays. Cerler is great for beginners up to advanced skiers and riders, and its layout is perfect for mixed-ability groups.

The Spanish resorts are uncrowded, especially on weekdays, with excellent infrastructure, very short queues and good value services.

We specialise in the Spanish Pyrenees skiing holidays. We love the atmosphere and the skiing/boarding itself is excellent.

One of the Pura Aventura team lives and works in Cerler, which means we know the best instructors, hotels, restaurants, etc personally. We’ve been taking clients there for several years, know the place inside-out, and love it.

With our knowledge and connections, we help our clients find the best snow conditions, the best instructors, the best restaurants and the best kit.

Does the sound of Spain and skiing in the same sentence sound interesting? Intriguing?

Cerler is a modern resort with extensive choices of pistes and trails and the biggest vertical range in the Pyrenees (1,500m – 2,640m, which can be skied in one uninterrupted run if you have the strength).

Unpretentious and uncrowded: Cerler doesn’t have the queues, pushing or pretension of some resorts. It’s a refreshing change from the Alps.

Its layout is perfect for mixed ability groups and families since the beginner and intermediate pistes are in the middle of the resort, near the main restaurants, not stuck down at the bottom. It’s easy for groups to rendezvous frequently.

The Tena Valley offers easy access to the large resort of Formigal and the smaller Panticosa. We think it’s ideal for a luxury long weekend of skiing.

Do you like good food and wine?
Spain, especially the north, is rightly known for its food and wine, so you can enjoy eating (and drinking) very well without the pain of being fleeced.

Choices
We have a range of holidays, designed for families, solo travellers, couples and groups of friends. We cater for a range of abilities from near-beginners to experts in a relaxed atmosphere.

When to go

Resorts normally open in early – mid December depending on snow conditions and continue through until April.
