Katie
Katie

Katie enjoyed the taste of success early when, aged just 8, she simultaneously held the Women’s Institute handwriting prize and her Sunday school darts and dominoes award.

Since then life has become a little quieter for her with stints kayaking down the Peruvian Amazon, exploring the Andes in Ecuador, swimming with penguins in the Galapagos, driving through Costa Rica, hiking the Picos mountains and swimming in Peru’s Lake Titicaca.

Thomas
Thomas

A fateful cup of coffee in 1989 first brought Thomas into contact with El Salvador and sparked a passion for Central and South America which remains undiminished to this day.

Spending his time immersed in Spain and Latin America is pretty much his idea of heaven.

Sarah
Sarah

Sarah’s penchant for organising holidays started young when her parents had her research and select the family holidays from a pile of brochures. She even went so far as to produce rudimentary spreadsheets listing the pros and cons of each destination for both the perspective of parents and the children.

Sarah still displays this organisational talent for others but is rather more spontaneous with her own travels, hopping on a plane to go skiing in Chile or sail to Antarctica or drive around Andalucia with no notice needed.

Expertise includes »  Chile  Galapagos Islands  Antarctica

Mike
Mike
Mike

Mike is the money man, the financial director of Pura Aventura. His career as chartered accountant started out fairly traditional, staying with United Biscuits for more years than he can remember, rising to board level.

Presumably jealousy got the better of him eventually, having watched his children travel to and live in a variety of exotic locations he decided to get out there himself. These past ten years he has become something the best travelled of all of us with extended holidays to Peru, Ecuador, Galapagos, Chile, Easter Island, the Picos de Europa, Mallorca and the Pyrenees under his belt.
