On landing in Cusco, you are transferred you to your hotel to begin acclimatising to the rarefied air of this beautiful city (3,326m)

Today go to the upper Urubamba, the sacred river of the Incas for some fun grade II-III rafting. Full instruction and safety talk are given so no previous experience is necessary.

From Cusco explore the nearby Inca archaeological sites and local communities by horseback. This is a fun adventure through beautiful countryside to acclimatise you further.

Today you have the chance to do some ‘white-water’ with some inflatable canoeing on a scenic and fun stretch of the Rio Urubamba. Thereafter visit the town of Pisac and explore the extensive artisan market, a shopper’s dream.

Today experience an amazing bike adventure. Pass Lake Huaypo and enjoy great views of the Vilcanota mountain range. This fun dirt-road mountain-bike descent into the Sacred Valley is suitable for all the family.

Today catch the train to km 104 of the tracks. The path leads you up the steep sides of the valley until you reach the Inca Trail proper. After passing down through the ruins catch a bus to Aguas Calientes.

Head up the hill to Machu Picchu and have it virtually to yourself for a full guided tour. Afterwards climb Huayna Picchu or else just wander through the ruins soaking up the amazing atmosphere.

After so much activity, enjoy a day in Cusco to do what you, and your children, want.
