October is the month with most rain. The dry season runs from December to May when things are very hot. Temperatures can approach 40c on the Pacific side. How long? How active? There are several rest days. How comfortable? In Managua, stay in a 14 room hotel in a quiet residential area. In Leon stay in a 15 room colonial style hotel with small pool area. In Granada, stay in an early 19th century town house just off the main square. 22 rooms and a small pool. In Ometepe stay in pleasant but fairly simple cabins on the lakeshore. All rooms en suite.
