When should I go? The island offers the typical Mediterranean weather with mild winters and hot summers. You can go year round. For hiking the weather is suitable all year round, although in winter sometimes you can find snow on the highest peaks. For swimming in the sea, April to October are your best bets. Spring (April to June) average temperatures start to rise (14-17-21º) and days of rain drop to about five. July and August are the hottest and busiest months. September is a good month: still hot (22ºC) with seven days of rain on average. October and November are the rainiest months averaging 12 days of rain with average temperatures dropping to 19º and 15ºC respectively. Winter (December to March) has an average temperature of 11-12ºC and an average of nine days of rain per month. How active? Entirely up to you. Since you have the freedom of your own car, you can take the holiday at your own pace. You have complete freedom to choose what you do. Walking is the main activity available but you can also cycle, sea-kayak, enjoy the beach or make cultural visits. How comfortable? Very comfortable indeed. The six room boutique hotel is in the pedestrian part of a characterful village. We assume a double/twin room for your stay but you can upgrade to a suite if you prefer. How independent? With your own car, you’re completely independent and flexible but with support available if you need it. You have a private Pura Aventura guide for a full day. We usually include this on your first full day on the island to help you settle in. We provide you with all the maps, walking notes and local information you will need. How responsible? Pura Aventura is passionate about the places it visits. To help preserve the integrity of these destinations we: • Keep groups small to minimise environmental impact. • Work with local guides so that our holidays are more interesting for clients and more beneficial locally. • Work directly with local businesses and organisations to directly benefit local economies. We use small, locally owned hotels and restaurants. • Pura Aventura actively supports the Spanish mountain conservation charity www.quebrantahuesos.org |
