Pyrenees Short Break Ski Holiday » More

Further information

When should I go?
As with any mountain environment, the weather can be unpredictable but skiing conditions in the Tena Valley are generally good throughout the season from mid-December through to early April.

The resorts in Tena tend to get busy on Saturday and Sunday. New Year and Easter is also a busy time.

January is very quiet in Tena and is an ideal time to visit.

How active?
Entirely up to you. Skiing and snowboarding are the main activities. The range of pistes and the uncrowded slopes and lifts mean that you can do as much or little as you like.

You might also like to try your hand at cross-country skiing or snow-shoeing.

You can also relax in the hotel spa.

How comfortable?
Very comfortable indeed as you stay in a stylish 4* village hotel with 29 rooms. Hotel walls date back to an abbey built in 1470.

We assume a standard double but you can upgrade if you prefer. Call for details.

How independent?
Completely, but with local advice and guidance plus local support should you need it.

Why Pura Aventura?
This holiday is exclusive to us.
Enjoy the flexibility and independence of a fly-drive with none of the guesswork. It can be tailor made to suit you – adding days as necessary for example.

How Responsible?
Pura Aventura is passionate about the places it visits. To help preserve the integrity of these destinations we:
• Work directly with local businesses and organisations to directly benefit local economies. We use small, locally owned hotels and restaurants.
• Keep groups small to minimise environmental impact.
• Work with local guides so that our holidays are more interesting for clients and more beneficial locally.

Pura Aventura actively supports the Spanish mountain conservation charity www.quebrantahuesos.org which is based in the Pyrenees, in fact in the next door valley to Tena.
