Self Drive Walking Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 | Tena | Arrive in the Pyrenees
Fly to Zaragoza. Collect your car and drive to the Tena Valley in the central Pyrenean range. Relax in your boutique hotel in a small village. Walk to a viewpoint this afternoon.
Eat in the restaurant of the hotel tonight.
Walk 15km, 4hrs, up 350m, down 350m
Day 2 | Tena | Walk around a high peak
Walk across a high plateau towards the volcanic plug peak of Midi d’Osseau. Relax in your hotel spa this evening.
Walk 12km, 5hrs, 5540m, 6540m

Day 3 | Tena | Hike up to a summit
Walk along a valley and to the summit of Anayet peak. Enjoy a picnic lunch next to the glacier lakes, continue to the summit for panoramic views.

Day 4 | Tena | Relax, explore and walk
Relax and explore today. There are lots of pretty villages in the area as well as some special places to eat.
There are 3 good restaurants within yards of your hotel. (b)
Day 5 | Pallars | Walk through Ordesa National Park
Change hotels today and head eastwards along the Pyrenees range.
Walk in the limestone valleys of Ordesa National Park dotted with waterfalls.
Walk 12km, 3hrs, up 400m, down 400m (b)
Day 6 | Pallars | Walk in Aigües Tortes National Park
Explore Aigües Tortes National Park today.
The name means ‘winding waters’ and the park is full of lakes, streams and waterfalls, high peaks and wide valleys.
Walk 13km, 5hrs, up 690m, down 690m

Day 7 | Pallars | Raft on Noguera Pallaresa river
Spend the day white water rafting, you can run 52km of grade III and IV rapids. Have dinner back in the village or return to your hotel.

Day 8 | Pallars | Walk through a valley
Walk along a forested valley to cross the famous winding waters to a granite mountain circus.
Enjoy a relaxed lunch in the village or return to the river for more rafting. Walk 13km, 3hrs, up 350m, down 350m (b)
Day 9 | Seu | Relax and explore
Continue eastwards to your last hotel in the Catalan speaking area of the Pyrenees. This afternoon explore the picturesque town of Seu.
Relax and enjoy your comfortable hotel. (b)
Day 10 | Seu | Walk in the Sierra del Cadí
Enjoy a day of walking in the stunning limestone hills of the Sierra del Cadí.
The high pastures contrast starkly with the craggy mountains beyond.
Walk 12km, 4hrs, up 350m, down 350m (b)
Day 11 | Seu | Ride bikes or walk near Seu
Ride bikes on an extensive network of trails along the river bank or up into the mountains. Alternatively there is a summit hike in the Moixeró mountains an hour or so to the east. (b)
Day 12 | Travel | Return home
Return home today from Zaragoza or extend your trip with a few days in Barcelona and fly home from there. (b)
