Self Drive Walking Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 | Bilbao | Guggenheim to La Rioja
Fly to Bilbao and drive to La Rioja.
Relax in your comfortable small hotel.
Take a short walk this afternoon and enjoy a special dinner in the nearby village this evening.
Day 2 | La Rioja | Walk in Sculpture Forest
Walk through a natural park with a difference as you follow a route combining natural landscapes with art.
Walk 13km, 4hrs, up 350m, down 350m. (b,l,d)
Day 3 | La Rioja | Walk and Wine
Change hotels to move up into the wine growing area. Visit the monasteries of San Millán to walk into the foothills. Relax in you small boutique style hotel this evening.
Walk 12km, 3hrs, up 420m, down 420m. (b,l,d)
Day 4 | La Rioja | Walk and Wine Tasting
Walk a relax and pretty route through vineyards towards the castle at Davalillo.
Enjoy a picnic lunch and relax.
This afternoon visit the fascinating wine museum. Walk 11km, 3hrs, up 90m, down 90m

Day 5 | La Rioja | Visit vineyards, explore
Visit one of the finest and most traditional wineries in the region this morning. This afternoon explore the pretty old town of Haro. Tonight dine at the hotel which has a good restaurant. (b)
Day 6 | Travel | Return home
Drive back to Bilbao.
Visit the Guggenheim museum before flying home this afternoon. (b)
