The Carretera Austral runs for 1,200km through Chilean Patagonia, all the way from Puerto Montt to the great glaciers of Villa O'Higgins. This is Patagonia at its most authentic and beautiful. Gauchos herding cattle, glaciers tumbling off mountain tops, turquoise rivers and warm hospitality are all part of the landscape. We have been travelling this road since 1995, which means we're fussy about our trips. We work directly with each hotel, guide, drive and restaurant so that we can make your trip as personal to you as you'd like it.
As featured in The Times and National Geographic Traveller, follow in Aaron Millar's footsteps through primeval temperate forests, below snow-capped granite peaks, across open grassland and along dramatic lunar ridges. Enjoy glaciers all to yourself and kayak on a shimmering fjord as you experience the best of Patagonia's Route of Parks, in all its unspoilt glory.
Follow the epic Route of Parks by land and sea, from the ancient forests of Pumalín all the way to legendary Cape Horn. Drive the Carretera Austral, hike in Torres del Paine and cruise through Tierra del Fuego. It's a self-drive journey which can be done all at once, or in chapters.
